Find missing books in a series on your Kobo
Check series order, distinguish missing sequels from unread books, and follow upcoming releases without confusing translated editions.
Reviewed:
Start with what is actually on your Kobo
A missing sequel and an unread book are different problems. First scan your connected Kobo in desktop Chrome or Edge, then inspect the saved library. If you have added or removed files since that scan, scan again. A saved snapshot cannot know what changed on an unplugged reader.
Check the series and reading order
Open the series and compare the titles and positions. Keep publication order separate from a suggested reading order: prequels, companion books and short stories may not belong in the main sequence. Review an uncertain match before treating a gap as a book you need to buy.
Keep translated editions distinct
A translated title may represent a work you already own. Compare the author, series position and edition identifiers rather than the title alone. Kobbie aims to recognise the underlying work while preserving your displayed title and language; incomplete catalogue evidence can still need your review.
Follow the next confirmed release
Use a series alert to follow a future book. A year alone is not an exact publication date, and a new edition is not necessarily a new sequel. Check the cited source and the store listing for your language and region before buying. Saved alerts are separate from the books already on your Kobo.
